Ski Resort now offering tours on easy-to-ride, zero-emissions snowbikes, creating a new Winter experience for guests.

BOULDER, COLO. – MoonBikes, maker of the world’s first fully electric snowbike, announces that Boyne Mountain Resort will be the company’s first North American ski resort partner. Boyne Mountain Resort has acquired a fleet of ten MoonBikes offering guests this exciting new way to explore and enjoy winter with guided forest tours.

Located in Michigan, Boyne Mountain Resort is known for its beautiful location, year-round recreations, and for continuously innovating and finding new ways to enhance the guest experience. From Disciples 8, the first eight-person high-speed chairlift in the Midwest to SkyBridge Michigan, the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge, Boyne Mountain Resort is committed to creating unique experiences and being the best vacation destination in the Midwest.

“MoonBikes are an ideal fit for Boyne Mountain Resort in bringing another standout attraction that also aligns with our dedication to sustainability,” said Patrick Patoka, Boyne Mountain’s director of adventure. “With our ForeverProject, we are focused on reducing our impact at every level of resort operations, and MoonBikes fit our mission in providing environmentally friendly fun.”

Already popular with ski resorts, hotels and tour operators across Europe, MoonBikes were first introduced in North America in late 2020, and have continued to gain momentum and popularity. The fully electric snowbikes weigh less than 200 lbs., are quiet and easy to learn and ride, have zero active emissions, and with the optional second battery (and depending on snow conditions), offer up to 35 miles of range. The bikes use no gas or oil, require very little maintenance and upkeep, and there are multiple service locations across the US and Canada offering white glove service.

“It’s a huge honor to be working with Boyne Mountain Resort,” said Nicolas Muron, MoonBikes Founder and CEO. “MoonBikes were built for fun, approachability and sustainability – all factors that the Boyne Mountain team believes in – and we know MoonBikes are going to create many new memories for their guests.”
