Payfast and SATSA join forces to provide secure online payment solutions to the tourism industry

CEO of SATSA, David Frost

SATSA members will now get access to a range of online payment solutions, including credit and debit card payments, instant EFT, and QR code payments.

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s online payment gateway, Payfast, and inbound tourism body, Southern Africa Tourism Services Association – SATSA, have forged a strategic partnership to provide secure and efficient online payment solutions to the tourism industry.

The partnership comes in the lead-up to SATSA’s 2023 conference themed “Partnership for Action”, which aims to improve access for small and medium-sized enterprises to safe and reliable digital payment solutions.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift towards online payments, and in the tourism industry, the rise of online booking platforms and travellers preferring contactless payment options have fuelled this trend. The industry recognised the need for efficient, secure and convenient payment solutions, leading to the partnership with Payfast, a trusted brand that has been servicing businesses for over a decade.

Says Brendon Williamson, Managing Director at Payfast: “We are thrilled to partner with SATSA and bring our expertise in online payments to the tourism industry. Our partnership will provide SATSA members with a competitive advantage by enabling them to offer their customers a seamless and secure online payment experience. We look forward to working closely with SATSA to provide innovative and customised solutions to their members.”

CEO of SATSA David Frost says,“Our partnership with Payfast is an exciting development that will provide our members with online payment solutions that are secure and easy to use and allow them to benefit from Payfast’s expertise and experience in online payments. It also highlights our commitment to supporting our members and the tourism industry.”

SATSA members will now get access to a range of online payment solutions, including credit and debit card payments, instant EFT, and QR code payments. The partnership will also offer SATSA members dedicated support and training, enabling them to maximise the benefits of online payment solutions.
